Cheese Fondue
Perfect for casual dinner parties, game nights, or indulgent weekends in, this dish blurs the line between appetizer and main event. It’s rustic, comforting, and unapologetically decadent.
Ingredients:
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour or cornstarch
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese -leave 3 TBSP for topping
2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese - Leave 3 TBSP for topping
¼ teaspoon salt
1 Beehive Bread Bowl with insides scooped out.
1 loaf French bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
Instructions:
1. Bring chicken broth to a simmer over medium-low heat
2. Stir in flour or cornstarch and nutmeg until well combined
3. Add both cheeses a little at time mixing until melted. Season with salt.
4. Transfer to bread bowl and top with remaining cheese. Heat for 5 mins under the broiler to melt remaining cheese. Cover bowl with aluminum foil to reduce burning.
5. Serve with French bread. Enjoy!
